Goa trance was the happening thing back in the 90's, but already then exciting things were happening in the underground, new styles of psychedelic trance deviating from the classic goa recipe were being explored. To me, already in '99, goa trance as such was obsolete. I don't listen to goa cause modern psy genres such as darkpsy and Suomisaundi are just more mindboggling and awe-inspiring. I've listed some of the psy I like on my channel, if you're interested.

I might add that while this particular track is not as fluffy as classic goa, it's still very much like it. To me this is the sound of the 90's in a 2004 disguise.
